Copyediting occurs after developmental and\/or line editing, when your manuscript is in its final form (eg, still a Word document). It is during this stage that I correct misspellings, grammar and punctuation errors, word use errors, clarity, redundancy, and confusing text. I query when something doesn\u2019t make sense, is inconsistent, or is jargon.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Proofreading happens when your content is in its final form; it occurs after typesetting or formatting and right before publication. This often means that your text has been typeset or formatted for online publication. While proofreading, I look for typos, errors in word use, punctuation errors, inconsistencies, and bad hyphenation and line breaks.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>
